Our Beliefs

The Reformed Presbyterian Church is founded upon the conviction that the Bible is the Word of God.  We believe that the Bible is infallibly inspired and given as our guide to our beliefs and daily lives.

  • We believe that God is a Spirit, infinite, eternal and unchangeable in His being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth.

  • We believe that there are three persons in the Godhead; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one God, the same in substance, equal in power and glory.

  • We believe that God sovereignly decreed all things; created all things; and sustains and governs all things; and that Jesus Christ is now King over every realm of life.

  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is fully God and fully Man. He is one divine person in two whole, perfect, and distinct natures, the Godhead and the manhood. He is the only savior and the only mediator between God and man.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ came to earth and obeyed the law of God perfectly; suffered and died on the cross to satisfy God’s justice as a substitute for sinners; was raised after three days and ascended into heaven where He now sits ruling and reigning at the right hand of the Father.

  • We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and living Word of the living God; and that it is the alone rule for faith and obedience.

  • We believe that God saves sinners by grace alone and because of nothing in them.

  • We believe that sinners are saved through the saving grace of faith alone and not by the works of the law.

  • We believe that the object of saving faith is Jesus Christ alone.

  • We believe that everything in creation and salvation is for God’s glory alone.

  • We believe that the Church is the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic body of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is coming again to raise the dead; to receive His believing children; and to judge the world in righteousness.

  • We believe that all people will spend eternity in either heaven or hell; and that their eternal destiny will depend on whether or not they repented of their sins and trusted in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation.

Our full doctrinal statement along with proof texts for each doctrine is found in the Westminster Confession of Faith, the Westminster Larger and Shorter Catechisms, and the Reformed Presbyterian Testimony.
